Just when we thought the culture had changed in Bengal land, Jerome Simpson and Anthony Collins bring us back the good old days.
Last night, Kentucky law enforcement officials converged on a house, owned by Simpson, after a package was delivered to that house.
The package in question contained 2.5 pounds of marijuana. Simpson and teammate Collins were both present at the house when Simpsons girlfriend, Aleen Smith, signed for the package.
Simpson, the homeowner, gave law enforcement consent to search the house.
During the search, authorities located another six pounds of marijuana, packaging materials, scales and smoking equipment.
Kentucky authorities were alerted to the package from California narcotics officials.
Both Simpson and Collins were questioned.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this, but it does not appear that it looks good for Simpson and Collins.
Both could be disciplined, based on the leagues personal conduct and substace abuse policies.
It is a shame that after we got rid of the shenanigans of Chad, T.O. and Carson, more crap continues to creep into this team.
