Bengals on the mark come draft day.

Sorry for the delay in posting this.

Here is a breakdown of the Cincinnati Bengals Draft picks, just click here.

Overall I would give the Bengals a solid B grade for the draft.

Yes they got a TE that in theory provides a legit 3rd or 4th option for Carson. But they thought they got that in chase coffman last year and that didn't work out. Yes they did add a solid nickle CB and did a very good job adding talented depth players on the defensive line and at linebacker. However, in my opinion, they really needed to get a safety. They had their chance to get 2 safties that when it is all said and done might become impact players. They could of traded up and got Taylor Mays in the second round or they could of taken Myron Rolle out of florida state in the 4th, 5th, or 6th round with their picks. Now if that name doesn't sound familiar or even if it does (and it should) it is because he didn't play college football last year. He was a stand out at Florida state 2 years ago but decide to become a road scholar last year and spent that year studying in England. Can't really blame the kid that is a phenominal opportunity. He was projected to be a first round pick last year had he not gone to England. Now part of the problem is he has made it clear that he wants to become a Doctor and go to med school, but also has stated he wants to play atleast 10 yrs in the NFL. He dropped because of this but performed extremely well at the senior bowl and at the combine and is in top shape and still a very good player. The Bengals really dropped the ball on not getting a Safety at all in this draft. Yes they have depth at that position but the problem is all of those guys are very unreliable with all missing time last year due to injury. They need a durable impact player at that position and the guys they have just are not it.

All in all it was a very solid draft and the Bengals did what they needed to do for the most part. They added a lot of talented players and guys that have played at big time programs in college and have played or won national championships. They have added some wonderful depth to their roster and won't be hurt as bad when injuries do hit, because we all know at some point they happen it is the NFL.
