Congrats to the Indiana Air Search and Rescue

This is a big shout out to my family/friends who are part of the Indiana Air Search and Rescue. There were many hours/years of hard work to get the Huey up and running. I am so proud of everyone who was part of that project. The following was sent from the Director of the Indiana Air Search and Rescue, Brian Shera:

This message is going to a lot of people who are family, friends and Vietnam War Veterans (THANKS for your service) who have been following the progress of the restoration of our Huey helicopter.
Indiana Air Search And Rescue (IASAR) started a restoration a little over 5 years ago on a Huey helicopter with the tail number of 68-16563. The restoration process was a long one but the good thing is, this restoration was done completely on DONATIONS so IASAR owes no one!
Today, Saturday March 6th was a great day because this day saw the very first flight of our Huey!! The weather here in Indianapolis was fantastic as it was sunny and the temp was about 51 degrees so it was a great day for flying!
In front of about 50-60 people, 563 gently lifted off and slowly went out to the runway and then took off into the blue sky!! I'm sending this video out to everyone who was interested in what we are doing and who have followed along with us and even donated money to us (THANK YOU!!).
THANK YOU again to all who have followed our progress and I hope you enjoy the video!!
