A follow up on Chris's post. The Bengals have signed Antonio Bryant to a 4 year 28 million dollar deal. Bryant, who is 29, missed three games last year with a knee injury. This signing all but nixes the idea of having Terrel Owens in the Bengals stripes next year. The next question is how will Chad Ochocinco react? He is, after all, the one who was really pushing hard for T.O. to be in Cincy as they are close friends. Long term though this deal does make the Bengals a better team. Bryant is a better player at this point in their careers than T.O. and will give a viable #2 option for Carson Palmer and should free up Ocho to make more big plays. Something the Bengals lacked last year with Chris Henry's injury and the disappearance act from recently departed WR Laverneous Coles.
So Chad may be upset for now, but in the end the Bengals made the right move, for once. Lets just hope this signing turns out better than the Coles debacle from a year ago.
