There are conflicting reports out, but both say that Tiger Woods could be making his return in time for the Masters tournament, in mid April. We will know within the next week whether any of these are true. One report has Tiger playing in Arnold Palmer's tournament at Bay Hill, at the end of this month, and he would need to let the tournament know by next Friday the 19th if he is coming or not. Another report has him coming back for the Masters which is a month away.
Regardless of when he comes back, it will be good for not only the sport of golf, but for Tiger as well. Right now, Tiger needs the game of golf just as much as the game of golf needs Tiger. This is the only place where Tiger has truly had any type of control, and from what we have learned about Tiger, he really likes to have control. The golf course will be somewhat of a sanctuary for Tiger, as he tries to continue to get his life back. Also, it is something he has loved for 30+ years. The longer he stays away, the tougher life will get for him, and to be honest it may help his marriage if he can play golf and get some normalcy back in his life.
I, for one, am still a Tiger Woods fan and won't judge him based on mistakes he has made in his personal life. While I don't agree with the actions he has done, I know people make mistakes and that people can change their ways. I look forward to watching the so called "new Tiger" and watching him start down his new path. I am rooting for Tiger more now to not only win on the golf course, but to win in the game of life!
