Reds pitching phenom Aroldis Chapman, aka "The Cuban Missile" was dealin' today in his Spring Training debut against the Kansas City Royals.
The media was out in force in Goodyear today to watch Chapman. The world was curious to witness the debut of the newest pitching phenom in MLB. Chapman certainly did not disappoint.
Chapman was clocked at 102 mph by some scouts radar guns. Chapman faced 7 batters, threw 26 pitches, 15 for strikes. He struck out 3 batters, two of those were major league starters. He also gave up 1 hit and walked another.
If Chapman continues to pitch this way, there is no way the Reds do not take him with them when they head back to Cincinnati. If that is the case, could Chapman be making his debut as the Reds 5th starter, April 10, against the Cubs?
