The Cincinnati Bengals have signed former Jacksonville Wide Receiver Matt Jones to a one year deal. Jones, a former college quarterback, chose the Bengals over the Titans, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
This is a signing that I like. Jones is a solid receiver, who will definitely help the Bengals horrific passing game. Jones was arrested in 2008, with two college friends, while cutting some cocaine in his car. Jones spent a week in the slammer for violating the terms of his plea deal.
Hey who knows, maybe Jones will play well enough that the Bengals can get rid of Laverneous Coles, since he is stealing a paycheck every Sunday. Jones will definitely be an upgrade in the red zone, since the Bengals Tight Ends can't catch anything, including a cold.
The Bengals "Rehab Center" could continue to accept new people, as the Bengals have reportedly worked out former Titans & Cowboys cornerback, Adam "Pacman" Jones. They have also shown some interest in former Browns receiver, Dante Stallworth, who decided to get hammered, get behind the wheel and kill a pedestrian. Hmmmm, that sounds familiar in my life! Love you and miss you Scott! Ah, but hey, what the hell, he only spent 30 days in jail. Lets give him a shot too. Stay tuned to see if the Rehab Center at Paul Brown Stadium continues to open its doors this off season.
