Vonn strikes again

American Lindsey Vonn lived up to the expectations that she and others have put on her. Vonn, racing in her first 2010 Olympic race, shook of a recent shin injury to bring home the Gold medal in the Olympic downhill.
Vonn was able to shake off her bruised right shin, to win the medal in 1 minute, 44.19 seconds.
Americans took Gold and Silver as Vonn's teammate, Julia Mancuso, finished 0.56 seconds behind Vonn. This is the first time that Americans have finished with Gold & Silver in an Alpine race in the Olympics in 26 years.
Vonn is still favored to win her other four events. The big question is how her shin will hold up for the remainder of the games. If the shin holds up, we have the Winter Olympics version of Michael Phelps. Keep it up Lindsey.
