Miami continued to dumptruck the CCHA competition, with a 10-4 blugeoning of Lake Superior State tonight. Miami played inspired hockey in the memory, of a member of the coaching staff, Brendan Burke, who died from injuries that he suffered in a car accident on Friday. Miami stormed out to a 7-0 lead before Domenic Monardo ruined the shutout for Connor Knapp. Knapp made 38 saves on 42 shots as Miami was once again outshot by the Lakers.
However, at one point in the 2nd period, Miami had scored 7 goals on 17 shots. Forwad Andy Miele played one of his best games all season tallying 4 points (2 G, 2 A). For more information on tonights game, check out Scott's post on the game.
