Well im 2 for 2 in bombing predictions

Well once again, I failed to predict the correct outcome in an Olympic hockey game. As you may know, I picked Russia to defeat Canada 3-2 yesterday. Well folks, I wasn't even in the ballpark.
Canada lit up Russia 7-3 last night, in front of a raucous crowd at Canada Hockey Place in Vancouver. The victory puts Canada in the Medal round to face Slovakia on Friday night. Canada scored early and often, with SIX different players scoring (Getzlaf, Boyle, Nash, Morrow, Perry (2) and Weber). It is safe to say, the Gold Medal favorites have truly arrived.
The 7-3 demolition of the Russians sent a message to the remaining teams, we're back. Canada is playing a heck of a lot better than they were in their first three games. They can thank the United States for their wake up call.
It appears we are headed for a North American Gold Medal game. The United States absolutely dominated Switzerland, even though the 2-0 scoreline doesn't show that. If not for Switzerland goalie Jonas Hiller, playing out of his mind, the scoreline would have been much worse. Zach Parise scored both goals for the United States setting up a semifinal showdown against Finland on Friday (3:00 pm NBC).
It appears the United States and Canada are destined to face off again for the Gold Medal. North America will be buzzing on Sunday if that is the case.
